If You Do Not Use, You Lose

Our mind has more powers than we can think of. Not only our mind, but our body too has that capability. More often than not, we simply do not use them. The exceptional capability is seen only in people who actually practice too much on one particular thing or they are driven by some mission. Mission to do something - it might be due to circumstances or due to the inner goal. Once that mission is fixed, there is no barrier that you cannot cross. But if we do not have that mission, we simply live our life without using these powers. Take great people in any field. Did they possess special skills? No. They developed that special skills as they went ahead in life. If Sachin Tendulkar is remembered as God of Cricket, he has given nothing short to cricket. Cricket was his life. Similarly, other great people in their own chosen fields have done that extra hard work to get where they are today.

Evolution is funny. Do you know that humans had tail? But since it was not used, over the years it became redundant. When we use too much of pesticide in farms, the insects develop inner strength to fight that pesticide. Consequently, the next generation of these insects are not affected as much by that dose of pesticide. If we exercise, our muscles develop into stronger one. If you run daily, the capacity of your legs will increase and you can run longer distances over a period of time. But if you try running long distance one day, you will injure yourself. These things apply to all the aspects of our body. Sometimes, these rules also apply to our powers that we have in our professional life. You need to use them sometimes, so others know that you have that power. You need to use your mind for concentration, for thinking, so your mind power grows and your mind gives solution before you actually ask it.

You also need to develop discipline so that it increases your chances of success. Remember, if you do not use your power, you lose it.
